Identification The eel spends most of its life
in rivers, lakes and estuaries, but migrates to
the ocean to spawn. Life span of five to twenty
years. Females can grow to be five feet, males
up to two feet.

The Blue Spotted Sunfish
Identification Adults can grow to be 65 to
90 mm long. Their body is long with a long head
and snout. Males sometimes have scales, and
females have scales only on their belly. The
upper side of their body is olive to brown, and
have a yellow stripe on their back. They live in
cool and warm waters.
Identification They tend to be olive-green to
brown in color, with black or reddish spots on
the base of each scale. The preferred habitat
is slow-moving, heavily vegetated streams and
rivers with limestone, sand, or gravel
substrates. Very little information is
available on age and growth. A four year old fish
average about six inches long.

Identification Grows to be 2.5 to 3.75 inches
long. Has a gray-brown body with a stripe down
the middle of its back, and 3 or more
warts. Inhabits sandy areas near marshes,
irrigation ditches, backyards, and temporary rain
pools.
