  • The average temperature of the Rockies is about
    43 F (6 C).

  • In winter the main attraction is skiing.
  • Plus there is loads of accommodation and its
    quite busy.
  • There are other enjoyments like trekking up the
    mountain and natural spars.

Where are the Rockies?
  • The Rockies are all along the left side of
    Canada, South America and New Mexico.

The Highest Peak in the Rockies
  • The highest peak in the Rockies is Mt McKinley
    which is 6194 m followed by, Mt Logan which is
    6050 m, Mt Whitney which is 4418 m and Mt Elbert
    which is 4399 m.

Geography And Geology
  • The Rockies mountains stretch from the Liard
    river in British Columbia down to Rio Grande in
    New Mexico.
  • The whole stretch of the Rockies mountains is
    more than 3 000 (4 800 kilometres long!)
