• Atemis sent boar to ravage countryside b/c king
  Oeneus forgot her when sacrificing 1st fruits to
  gods at harvest time
• Boar killed cattle men
• Atalanta wounded boar helped Meleager kill it
• Meleager (Oeneus son) fell in love w/her

• Fates said log of wood was sons spirit
• When log turns to ash, son dies
• Altheas brothers upset b/c Atalanta got skin for
  killing boar
• Meleager kills them

• Althea upset about son killing her brothers so
  she threw wood into fire
• Meleager died
• Althea hanged herself
