  • Resolutions
  • NGAUS resolutions are the driving force behind
    our associations legislative agenda and focus on
    any issue of importance to our members.
  • Resolutions are categorized as either Joint,
    Army or Air
  • Resolutions adopted at the NGAUS general
    conference are taken to Congress in the following
    year by our legislative staff.

Task Force Purpose
  • Task forces work closely with the NGAUS
    legislative staff throughout the resolutions
    cycle.
  • NGAUS task forces are special committees
    appointed by the NGAUS chairman of the board,
    with concurrence of the board of directors.

Task Force Objective
  • Provide long-range and strategic direction to the
    NGAUS in designated functional areas related to
    National Guard readiness, modernization, force
    structure and other matters of importance to the
    NGAUS membership
  • Task Forces provide subject matter expertise on
    issues related to the Army and Air National
    Guard.
  • Prepare draft resolutions for distribution to the
    states

  • Consolidate comment on resolutions received
    from states prior to NGAUS general conference
  • Advise the general conference on resolutions
  • Prioritize resolutions adopted at NGAUS
    conference
  • Coordinate fact sheet development with Industry
    NGB

Task Force Meetings
  • It is recommended that task forces meet as
    necessary. However, a minimum of two meetings per
    year are requested in order to facilitate NGAUS
    business in a timely manner.

Joint Priorities
  • Revise Personnel Management Policies to
  • Raise congressional ceiling on non-dual status
    personnel
  • Allow Title 32 AGR personnel to perform state
    emergency missions
  • Reduce the age to receive Reserve Retirement Pay
    by one year for every two years served after
    twenty good years
  • Authorize Grey Area retirees access to TRICARE
    benefits
  • Expand Wounded Warriors support programs
  • Strengthen the Counter drug Program
  • Improve Medical and Dental Readiness by
  • Providing all members of the National Guard with
    coverage under TRICARE Prime to include all
    medical and dental procedures necessary to bring
    the member into medical compliance for deployment
  • Offer all members an Annual Dental Exam (ADE) at
    no cost, or supply stipends for dental insurance
    and reimburse out-of-pocket expenses
  • To improve the delivery of mental health, require
    the Department of Veterans Affairs to develop a
    needs analysis to determine mental health
    resources to support RC members and adequate
    community based mental health care
