• Self-explanatory - your ship

Bearing

• imaginary line of direction across the water (or
  land) from you to an object such as a ship.
• This imaginary line is also called a line of
  sight.

  point.
• Always use three digits to express a bearing in

Bearing Drift

• Simply a change in bearing
• Can be used to determine whether the contact will
  pass ahead or astern
• Right Bearing Drift - bearing increases
• Left Bearing Drift - bearing decreases
• Constant Bearing - no bearing change
