Title: How the Chipmunk got Stripes.
1How the Chipmunk got Stripes.
One fine day in the forest, the Chipmunk was
gathering nuts when he saw Bear. Bear was
eating berries.
2Chipmunk LOVED eating berries. So he went to go
see if he could have some. Chipmunk asked bear,
"May I have some?" and bear replied, "Sure." They
had almost eaten the berries all gone when
chipmunk grabbed the last one.
3Bear was furious he reached out to grab chipmunk
but, he only scraped chipmunk down his back, two
long stripes.
4Chipmunk was scared, very scared in fact. He
scurried away and slid into his burrow
5As chipmunk healed, he accidentaly rolled into a
fire pit and the ashes got into his healing
scar. Franticly he tried to get it out of his
scar but he couldn't.
6The next time the other creatures saw chipmunk,
he had two black stripes down his back .

8Facts about the chipmunk.
A chipmunk resembles a common tree squirrel, but
is only about 5 -6 inches in length, not
including its bushy tail. It is a rusty brown
animal with a varying number of darker and
lighter stripes on its back, with an off white
underbelly.. Chipmun have been put into the same
category as ground squirrels, but although
terrestrial, they also forage in trees.
