Background

• Existing Pigging Operation
• Pigging completed to clean pipeline
• Paraffin Wax migrates to pipe walls, restricting
  flow
• Pig enters receiver pushing wax
• Operator opens receiver flange and pulls out pig
  and wax build up
• Paraffin Wax sent away for processing

Existing Layout

• Existing Pipe Layout
• Crude oil flows underground in pipeline to
  battery site
• At receiver, pipe comes above ground so that pig
  can be removed
• Receiver is isolated and oil continues to flow
  via bypass line

Design Objectives

• Minimize time to remove pig and wax build up from
  receiver
• Minimize amount of wax removed from process line
• Emulsify paraffin wax build up in receiver and
  allow wax slurry to flow downstream
• Complete feasibility study
