The Shot Putt

• Face direction of throw
• The ball is held in hand and placed below ear
• Stretch non throwing arm in direction of throw
• Place weight on back foot
• Bring weight onto front foot and push ball forward

• To further develop our throwing skills we can
• practice the javelin.
• Stand sideways in the direction of the throw
• Bring throwing arm straight back
• Point non throwing arm in direction of throw
• As the throwing arm bends release the javelin
