• Scholarships totaling over 4,631,129 were
  awarded to over 70 students.

UIL Academics Over 350 students in grades 2nd
-12th participated in UIL events.

• 2nd-8th Grade Results
• Stuard Elementary had 12 students place 1st, 2nd
  or 3rd.
• Coder Elementary had 9 students place 1st, 2nd or
  3rd.
• Vandagriff Elementary had 21 students place 1st
  2nd or 3rd.
• McAnally Intermediate had 24 students place 1st,
  2nd or 3rd.
• Aledo Middle School had 16 students place 1st,
  2nd or 3rd.

One Act Play
The Aledo High School One Act Play presented the
Diary of Anne Frank at the 4A State Competition.

The Whiz Quiz Team from McAnally Intermediate
finished in First Place.

  Band

• Grand Champions at Crowley Colorguard Contest
• UIL Region 7 Marching ContestDivision 1
• UIL Area B Marching Contest2nd Place
• UIL State Marching Contest6th Place
• 50 Members selected to the TMEA All Region Band
• 14 Members Advanced to TMEA Area
• 5 TMEA All State Band Members
• 1 Student advanced to All-District Choir
• 8 Students advanced to State in Solo Ensemble,
  with 3 students receiving gold medals and 5
  receiving silver medals.

• Aledo Middle School
• 48 Students participated in TMEA Region 7 Band
  Contest
• 120 Students participated in the Solo Ensemble
  Contest
• Concert, Challenger and Advanced Bands were all
  awarded Superior Performance and Best in Class at
  the Seasons of Music Festival in Dallas. The
  Advanced Band also won Contest Grand Champion.
• The AMS Advanced Band was invited to compete in
  the National Wind Band Honors Contest. Awards
  will be announced in September 2008.
