Another noteworthy set of tools also exists for
you to use in finding the information you need
various online documents are available for
selection from the References option on the Help
menu. The first, Application Terms, is a
dictionary of all the control items that appear
on the screen throughout the application.
Although you can access field help from
available items, Application Terms enables you
to find a definition for items that are visible
but not available.
74
NALCOMIS ONLINE MENU / HELP SCREEN
The next two online documents, the Data Element
Dictionary and the Database Specification, are
most useful to anyone who deals with the
application's database. If you use the Ad Hoc
function to examine and manipulate database
tables, for instance, you can look up
information regarding an element (such as what
table the element resides in) using these
documents. They are linked to each other for
easy access to similar information. GUIDE.
