A request contains one or more samples.
  • A sample contains
  • DNA
  • Primer
  • Each combination of DNA template Primer Run
    Time is unique.
  • Read
  • Reload
  • Resequence

Request Basics - Types
  • Plate requests can be used for
  • partial plates
  • full 96-well plates
  • Tube requests are used for
  • small numbers of individual samples
  • strip well tubes
  • Batch requests are used for
  • Call DAF before using this function
  • multiple FULL plates
  • systematic naming conventions
  • high-throughput projects
  • Upload requests are used when
  • Call DAF before using this function
  • sample information is already managed in
    spreadsheet format

This information will apply to every sample in
the request.

Making Tube Requests
  • Select 1 or more tubes. ?
  • Enter Template name. (from your tube)
  • Enter or select Primer name. (from your tube)
  • Assign sample to Folder. ?
  • Assign Chemistry. ?(leave as default)
  • Enter a Comment.
  • Select a Vector.
  • Select a Direction.
  • Enter Insert Size.
  • Select LABEL. ?(leave as default)
  • ? Required Fields

Edit Request Information
Check pull-down menu values. Make appropriate
changes.

Plate Request Information is the same as in Tube
Requests
Select Rows,
or Columns.
Enter Sample Information and click Set
Selected. Note DNA icon appears in well, when
information is assigned.
  • Or,
  • Click All,
  • Enter Sample Information,
  • Click Set Selected,
  • Click Add New Request

Set Requests to Holding or Pending
Click the Holding tab to set requests back to
Pending This feature is useful if you do not want
DAF to process a request until a future date,
determined by YOU

at default values.
