    revised FTP Code
  • Expected to be finalized at FP 53

  • MSC 81 considered report of the IIWG
  • Application of IGS to new oil tankers of less
    than 20,000 dwt and new chemical tankers
  • FP 51 suggested a new item
  • Measures to prevent explosions on oil and
    chemical tankers transporting low flash point
    cargoes
  • FP 52 agreed to a WG at FP 53 to progress the
    matter
