• Zebras are very beautiful.
• They can tell each other apart by their stripes,
  because all of their stripes are different.
• I picked the zebra because they are very gentle.

Description

• Zebras look like horses except that they have
  black and white stripes.
• Their mane sticks straight up.
• They can weigh from 500 to 900 pounds.
• Zebras can be about 5 feet tall.

Babies

• Zebras have one or two babies.
• A baby zebra is called a foal.
• A girl foal is called a filly. A boy foal is
  called a colt.
• A baby zebra when it is born weighs about 70
  pounds.
• An hour after it is born it can walk!
• Babies nurse soon after birth, and continue for a
  whole year.

Habitat

• Zebras live in eastern Africa, in the grasslands.
• They travel up to 10 miles per day to find more
  food.
• They also stay in herds to protect each other
  from danger.

Diet

• Zebras only eat plants. They are herbivores.
• They graze with wildebeests and antelope.
• Zebras eat tall grass.
• If the water runs out, zebras actually dig for
  more with their hooves.
