Landforms

• There is nothing to block your view
• - except for the occational PINGOS!
• What are pingos
• Pingos are permantly frozen mountains. They are
  formed in a permanently frozen area as almost
  frozen water pushes into the permafrost area
  then freezes, then more almost frozen water
  pushes and freezes and that continues until a
  mountain has formed over many years. That was
  hard to understand right? TOO BAD!!!

Landforms part 2so what theres two parts get
over it

• You know how we talked about PINGOS, well in the
  arctic we DONT have ANY trees to block the
  wondrous view of the pingos.
• - the reason is our ground is permantly frozen
  which doesnt allow the trees to put down their
  roots
• - the soil is in poor shape because nothing is
  decomposed heck its only ice, come on.
• but in the summer we have BEAUTIFUL flowersha
  beat that!

Landforms part 3okay this is the last one! We
promise

• Ever worry about when you go to the ocean that a
  big wave will come and knock you out and you will
  drown?
• - well here in the arctic we dont have huge
  bodies of waterheck we dont have any of the
  small ones eitherand the big ones are almost
  permantly frozen
• so no need to get your panties in a bunchmy
  badbasically, you have a slim to nothing chance
  of drowning

Landforms part 4okay so theres one more! Calm
down.

• DID YOU KNOW?
• -If a pingo becomes warm and starts to melt and
  then it collapses it is called a OGNIPwhich is
  just pingo spelt backwardshehehehe!...and no we
  didnt make that up.
• -There are no hills in the arctic because when
  the ice age was ending the extremely huge iceberg
  pulled back and in doing that it scraped away
  any mountains in its path.

• Just kidding, just kidding were all done with
  landforms.
• Now on to climate

Climate

• Unlike those crazy and humid places where its
  EXTEREMELY HOT in the summer and BRUTALLY cold in
  the winter
• Arctic summers are at a nice moderate
  temperature for about one month and thats our
  growing seasonhey some people dont like summer
  that much, deal
• because we dont have a lot of precipitation
  the summer will be a beautiful sunny day
• another cool thing is that the sun never sets
  in the summer.

• If you like winter but dont always having to
  worry about too much snow
• then the arctic is for you even though people
  think that the arctic is a place that has snow
  24/7 its not true
• but what is true is that the ground had snow
  and it didnt melt in the summer and so it just
  stayed and then at the next snow fall the snow
  just compacts on the old snow. And so on and so
  onbut you get the picture. Another thing is that
  in the winter the sun never risescool huh?

• Because of the way that the arctic is formed
  and because of where it is in the world we dont
  have these hazards

• Ice Storms
• Flooding
• Forest Fireswe dont have any treesduh
• Hurricanes
• We have permafrostbut its at our advantagehehe.

• Nah Im kidding, theres no more things to say
  about our climate.
• and now on to Ecosystem

• Like wildlife but hate the dangers of it?
• -Thanks to the climate there are no pesky bugs
  or insects to get in your way of enjoying the
  wild
• -the reasons are many but here are a few to
  explain,
• many animals cannot adapt to the cold climate
  like the other animals can
• many insects need proper growing soil to live
  in

• Also to add on to before
• because we dont have trees, that also means
  that there are no noisy birds, no seagulls that
  can poop on you when they feel like and no
  crowsthis means quieter mornings.
• no trees means no forest fires which also means
  houses saved rather then lost.
• We do have arctic animals like
• fish, the arctic hare, the arctic fox and
  belugasand fish is the main diet AND we have
  HUSKIES.

• Oh well on to lifestyles

• DID YOU KNOW?
• -that the arctic is as close to the magnetic
  north pole as you can get
• -we are also close to where Santa Claus
  livesthats if you still believe in him.
• -because of the land the houses have to be on
  stiltsthats even if they are near pingosif
  they had a basement then it would melt the pingo
  and turn it into an ogniphehe
• -you can ride dog sleds and have a freezer all
  year round because of the permafrostcool huh
• -statistic show that the arctic people who
  work make more than any one in the other regions.
