CSSM Configurations

• 21 flavour dynamical-fermion gauge
  configurations on 163x32 lattices using HMC and
  polynomial filtering
• gauge action - exploring DBW2 and
  tadpole-improved Luscher-Weisz plaquette plus
  rectangle actions
• fermion action - Fat-Link Irrelevant Clover
  (FLIC) action, using the analytic "Stout-Link"
  smearing to smear the links of the irrelevant
  operators
• Lattice spacing of approx 0.125 fm
• quark masses - SU(3)-flavor limit and a 21 case
  where the light quarks are roughly half the
  strange quark mass.
• Also some new large-volume Luscher-Weisz
  tadpole-improved plaquette plus rectangle
  quenched gauge fields on the way for a background
  field calculation

CSSM Supercomputers

• CSSM has some time allocation on the following
  computers
• Hydra - 128 dual Xeon with Myrinet, 1.2 Tflop
  peak
• Aquila - 160 proc SGI Altix
• APAC National Facility - 1680 proc SGI Altix, 11
  Tflops
• SA Supercluster - gt 2 Tflop cluster (probably
  with Infiniband) to be purchased by end of 2006
• The two Altixes are currently the main machines
  being used.
