• Primary consumers
• They eat to get food energy
• Squirrels, giraffes, parrots are examples

Carnivores

• They mainly eat other animals
• They feed off herbivores
• They are secondary consumers
• Predators that hunt and kill their food
• Spiders, lions, and sharks are examples

Scavengers

• Feed mainly on dead animals
• Help keep ecosystem clean
• Eat leftovers from predators meal
• Keep food energy from being wasted
• Hyena, vultures are examples

Omnivores

• Eat both plants and animals
• They find food easily
• They eat whatever is available and nearby
• Bears, pigs, and raccoons are examples

• They recycle important nutrients
