ADJECTIVES

• Adjectives describe nouns.

An adjective is a word that describes a noun.

• For example
• The cute girl ran away.
• The word cute describes the noun girl.

• The word cute is the adjective in this sentence.

• The red ball bounced.
• The mean king would not share.

ADVERBS

• Adverbs tell us more about verbs.
• Many adverbs tell us how something is done.
• Many adverbs are created from adjectives by
  adding ly to the ending of the adjective.
