Be able to identify the quadrilaterals by
referring to the angles, length of sides and the

Quadrilaterals are classified depending on the
sides and angles.
A quadrilateral is any 4 sided shape.
A square has four sides of equal length and four
right angles.

A rectangle has 4 right angles and the opposite
sides are of equal length 4 right angles.
A parallelogram has opposite sides of equal
length that are parallel and diagonally opposite
angles that are equal in size.

A rhombus is a special parallelogram that has for
sides of equal length. You would probably call it
a diamond shape

A trapezium has one pair of opposite sides that
are parallel
