  • Black Bears are found in the eastern coastal
    plains and in the western mountains of the United
    States.
  • Black bears are shy and try to stay way from
    people.
  • Black bears eat both meat and plants.
  • Black bears do hibernate but, can be awakened
    very easily.

  • They have large feet that act as paddles for
    swimming.
  • They eat seals, walruses, whales, and fish.
