Shelter

• Their houses were called Pueblos.
• Their houses were made out of stone and clay. The
  bricks were called adobe.
• They climbed a ladder to get in their house.
• Their house was three stories high.
• Pueblos came from a Spanish word for

Clothing

• Girls wore dresses called Manta. It is a black
  cotton cloth.
• Boys wore a breechcloth. When they were cold ,
  they wore loose pants and a shirt.
• They wore leggings in winter.
• They wore a rabbit skin blanket to keep warm.
  They also wore moccasins and sandals.
• They wore light cotton clothing.

Food

• They would eat corn every day.
• They would eat ground up corn called corn meal.
• They grew a different kind of corn. It was called
  desert corn.
• One of their favorite bread is piki bread.
• They would also eat squash and beans.
• The pueblos had a special kind of corn called
  Pueblo corn.
