The Mini-beast Hunt

• The children took a camera and went in small
  groups to see what they could find and
  photograph.
• They took a map to find out where they were.

Finishing OffWhat did the children enjoy?

• Looking for the mini-beasts.
• Using the camera and wrote some captions for
  their pictures.
• Finding mini-beasts around the playground and
  talking about them and where they live.
• We made a mind map about what they knew and they
  were excited to add their comments.
• Working in groups to make the posters and telling
  the nursery teacher about them.
• Digging and planting!
