How big are bottlenose dolphins?

• 8.2 to 8.9 feet long
• weigh 419 to 573 pounds
• males are bigger than females
• their size may depend on where they live

What do they eat?

• fish, squid, shrimp
• eat 4-5 of their body weight each day
• do not chew their food

Where do they live?

• in groups called pods
• tropical or temperate climates all over the world
• some live off-shore
• some live near the coast

Do they have any predators?

• YES
• Tiger sharks
• Dusty sharks
