- Responsibilities are 70-90 clinical depending
on the particular facility - Clinical responsibilities would include
- Patient screening, nutritional assessment, diet
instruction, and follow-up whether general or
specialty - Review and update of medical chart making
recommendations where appropriate - Patient consults when requested
- Participation in patient rounds
- Participation with nutrition support team
- Out-patient counseling
17- Administrative responsibilities of a Clinical
Dietitian may include - Diet Office, Diet Tech, trayline supervision
- Assisting in segments of quality assurance
programs - In-service training programs to dietary and
non-dietary staff - Nutritional education programs to in-patient,
out-patient, and community groups - Membership on interdisciplinary committees
- Assisting in Dietary Department Supervision
- Monitoring and maintenance of cost controls, I.e.
nourishments, floor supplies, and supplements.
