• As the Revolutionary War drew near,

Delivering messages for the American colonists
Spying on British troops
Spreading news about the Boston Tea Party to the
other colonies
Paul Revere became a Patriot for his country.

In the Spring of 1775, British troops were about
to Attack colonial leaders In Massachusetts
Mr. Revere asked his friend to warn him of the
British attack, from across the Bay in
Charlestown.

Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch Of the
North Church Tower as a signal light
One if by land, and two if by sea And I on the
opposite shore will be,

Ready to ride and spread the alarm For the
country folk to be up and to arm.
