2Texas Tech Football has started up again. The
first kickoff of the season will be in Dallas
against SMU at 3 P.M. As of now the game will be
shown on ESPN so please join in and support our
Red Raiders!!! A schedule of all the games is on
the back of this Newsletter.
Did you know that we have our very own Prairie
Dog Town. Watch natures clowns experience the
trials and tribulations of everyday prairie dog
life. At Prairie Dog Town, in Mackenzie Park,
the whole family will get a kick out of observing
these little critters in their natural habitat.
Bring carrots or cookies to share.
Every Tuesday and Friday we would like to remind
you that we will pick up any trash that is in a
bag that you place outside your apartment door.
If you could put your bag of trash out by 830 am
our maintenance guys will drive around and take
your trash to the trash bins. We hope that this
helps in some way!!
Did you know that there are 4 holidays in
September. Labor Day is the first one and is on
September 4th. This holiday is celebrated every
year on the first Monday of September to honor
the working people of the world. Labor Day is a
day of relaxation and usually marks of the end of
summer. Grandparent's Day is next and is on
September 10th. We have a day to celebrate our
moms and a day to celebrate our dads, so why not
celebrate the people who brought our moms and
dads into the world, too? George W. Bush
declared September 11th as Patriot Day. This day
is to honor all those lost in the 2001 attacks on
the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Autumn
Equinox which falls on September 23rd. The
leaves are starting to change color and the air
is starting to feel crisper. Yup, fall is here!
The Autumn Equinox lands on September 23rd in
2006, bringing the official end to summer.
