Hercules was born in Thebes, and was said to
be the son of Amphitryon, a distinguished
general but he was actually Zeus' Son

One night when Hercules and his brother were

On this Labor his nephew Lolaus helped him

• To bring back alive a stag w/ horns of gold,
• sacred to Artemis
• Killing it would be to easy but capturing it
  alive was another thing
• It took him 1 year before succeeded

• To drive away the Stymphalian birds
• These Birds caused a plague to the people
• Athena helped him by driving them out of
• their coverts, as they flew away he shot them

• beautiful savage bull that Poseidon had

• Hercules defeated him Hercules put him on
• a boat and brought him to Eurystheus

• To get the man-eating mares of King

• Hercules killed him them drove off the mares

• To bring back the girdle of Hippolyta, the
• Queen of the Amazons
• He went to Hippolyta and she kindly
• Accepted to give it to him, but Hera made
• the Amazons think that he was going to take
• their queen Hercules ended up killing
• Hippolyta and fight away the other and he was
• also able to take the girdle

• To bring back the cattle of Geryon
• Geryon was a monster w/ three bodies
• On his way there Hercules made a
• Memorial of his journey call the Pillars of
• Hercules at the end of the Mediterranean
• These are called the Pillars of Hercules
• Then he got the animal and took them to Mycenae

• The 11th was the most difficult it was to bring
• back the golden apple of the Hesperides
• Hercules went to Atlas for help. Hercules
• Purposed that he help the earth for him if he
• got the apple for him Atlas agreed
• Atlas got the apple for him and Hercules went
• off to give it to Eurystheus.

• Hercules lifted him and carried him all the
• way up to the earth and on to Mycenae
