- Changes in humidity and temperature can cause the
ambient capacitance level measured from the
sensors to drift over time. - With no calibration, the threshold levels remain
constant. - False sensor activations, or no sensor
activation, can occur when the threshold levels
are not centred around the ambient value.

on-chip calibration algorithm adjusts the sensor
thresholds. - Now, when the sensor is activated, CDC value
exceeds threshold and valid touch is registered.
