Spelling

• Unit 32 week of May 11
• Unit 33 week of May 18
• Challenge words will be Reading words!
• Students are to know basic words and their
  review words (1-25).
• Definitions test will be on Thursdays!
• Spelling Tests will be on Fridays!

Students are also given the opportunity to bring
home their Math assignments to be checked, unless
I request it that day.
A review sheet is given before every Math Test!

Social Studies
In the S.S. book there also some great websites
that go along with the book.
Unit 3 Becoming a Modern Nation will begin the
2nd week of February. Unit 4 The Great
Depression and World War II will begin the 2nd
week of March. Unit 5 The Later Twentieth
Century will begin in May
We will beginning our project time at the end of
April! Students will be able to choose a
President they enjoy and research them. We will
also be working on our State projects that are
due May 15!

Science
Science ABCs are due Friday, May 15.
The Planet Projects were awesome! The students
will need to know the 8 planets for a test!
Students are exposed to activities that can also
be done at home to encourage family participation.
Science is another awesome subject the students
can enjoy by doing simple extra activities at
home from their book.

We are recalling and discussing what Genre is and
means!
Make sure you child can identify and give
examples of the following Noun

Words Colon Interjection

• If your child is having trouble recalling what
  is grammar is being used, there are some great
