• What is Ada?
• Ada is a computer programming language originally
  designed to support the construction of
  long-lived, highly reliable software systems.
• Its design emphasizes readability, avoids
  error-prone notation, encourages reuse and team
  coordination, and it is designed to be
  efficiently implementable.
• A significant advantage of Ada is its reduction
  of debugging time. Ada tries to catch as many
  errors as reasonably possible, as early as
  possible.
• Ada was named after Ada Lovelace (18151852), who
  is often credited with inventing computer
  programming.
• Ada was the child of the poet Lord Byron and his
  wife, Anne Isabella Milbanke Born in London,
  England on December 10th, 1815

• Virtual Reality (VR), also called a virtual
  environment, is a 3-Dimensional (3D) computer
  simulation that provides sensory information
  (sight, sound, and/or others) to make you feel
  that you are in a "place".
• You can experience a virtual environment using a
  typical personal computer and a few items of
  specialized hardware a 3D graphics card, a 3D
  sound card, a head-mounted display, and a 6D
  tracker.
• You also need software designed to display
  virtual environments.
• Other terms that have been used are Synthetic
  Environments, Cyberspace, Artificial Reality,
  Simulator Technology, etc. VR is the most common.

• To achieve a believable sense of reality, the
  computer must be capable of calculating and
  displaying sensory information fast enough to
  fool the senses.
• Not long time ago such hardware and software was
  so expensive that only governments, major
  universities, and large corporations could afford
  to build virtual environments.
• Now, however, the price of fast computers has
  come down, and the exotic peripherals have been
  simplified to the point that many people will be
  able to explore VR.
• VR applications have wide spectrum, from games to
  architectural and business planning. Many
  applications are worlds that are very similar to
  our own, like CAD or architectural modeling.
• Already, VR allows us to travel on the surface of
  Mars, due
  to images delivered by spacecrafts.
• One day, we could just walk through a virtual
  supermarket to
  make our shopping that will be delivered to us
  without even
  getting out of the house!
