About the book
  • This book is about a hobo named Armand who
meets a couple of kids. At first he uses the kids
for only money and starts out not liking them. He
also used them to get money by making them do
tricks on the street. He started to be kind of
mean to them and then nice. He lets the homeless
children stay with him under the bridge. He
provides food for them every night and the dog,
    Jo Jo.
  • One day Armand took them to look around Paris.
When Armand and the kids were walking around
Paris he introduced them to a gypsy, named
Mireli. Mireli took them to a gypsy camp to give
    them a place to stay.
  • They stayed at the camp until Armand got a job
and moved in with Madame Calcet and the children
in a real home. Armand is now a Caretaker. Armand
takes care of the place by checking the mail and
    cleaning up.

Recommendation
  • I recommend this book because it was
interesting because I had never read a book about
a homeless family before. It was, also,
    interesting because there were different
characters and they all had their own ways of
being nice or mean, like Armand. He was mean in
the beginning of the book and started to be nicer
to the children once he realized they were
homeless. He decided to live with the children
and take care of them every day. He provided a
house to live in and food.
