I am haunted. Not by something of impure nature,

But by the loneliness that echoes through me, A
lapping sea that hallows out my mind and bends my
will to its destruction.

me But by the terror that rots inside me A
squatting toad that pierces my ears and promises
to consume my heart.

night But by the uncertainty that racks my
brain An enigma breaking my focus and burning my
thoughts like leaves.

knowledge that I am and never will be anything
but a lost child.
