Who are Colenorton Dragons

• Dragon Boat Club based on the Thames at Eton
• A team consisting of 22 people all of varying
  ages. Positions are divided up between paddlers a
  helm and a drummer, who join
• together to race in one of the most
  exhilarating team sports
• worldwide.
• Competing at National level as well as charity
  and corporate events.

About Us

• Colenorton Dragons was founded in 1992 from
  members of the Eton
• College Bursary and Maintenance Department.
  Initially, the club was
• made up of building and related trades staff,
  their families and friends.
• However, in a relatively short space of time, the
  club has grown and
• now welcomes anyone who wants to give the sport a
  go.
• The club has been very successful at National
  level and has
• represented Great Britain at the European
  Championships in Italy and
• Berlin.

• The Great River Race is a spectacular event
  attracting 300 crews of man
• powered boats from all around the world, racing
  22 miles along the Thames
• from Richmond to Greenwich. Colenorton have
  competed in this for many years
• taking first place in their class.
• The club also takes an active role in the local
  community assisting in charity
• events, organising corporate entertainment for
  local companies and
• many more.

  team. Charity Dragon
• Boat events and Corporate days are very popular
  as it is one of the few
• sports where good team work can overcome immense
  physical strength.

• Sponsoring the Colenorton Dragon Boat Racing Team
  can
• Bring many benefits
• Your name or message can be put on the Dragon
  Boat. The boat is used for 3, 2 hour
• training sessions on the River Thames at Windsor
  each week. They are also used for racing,
• corporate and charity events, maximising the
  exposure. The boat is also visible to
• passers-by when not in use at the Windsor - Eton
  bridge.

What we would like from a sponsor

• Colenorton Dragons have never considered looking
  for a sponsors until
• now. Most events, equipment and clothing are paid
  out of our own
• pockets and what little money we do have is made
  through small scale
• fund raising events.
• Colenorton Dragons would like to go to the next
  level and this is where
• we need your help
• Racing shirts - 500 to purchase 20 new fitted
  racing tops that will allow a more comfortable
  race.
• Waterproof jackets - 500 to purchase 20 all
  weather training jackets. These will allow us to
  train out on the river come rain or snow in
  winter, and can be worn at racing events in
  between racing.
• Both of the above could be printed with your
  company logo.

What we would like from a sponsor

• Carbon Fibre Paddles - 2000 for 20 new Tritium
  carbon fibre paddles. We currently use very old
  chipped wooden ones. Carbon
• fibre are much lighter and allow a more
  streamlined paddle, which is great for racing. 
  We are currently one of the only dragon boat
  teams still racing with wooden paddles!
• Race entry and transport costs - 550 per race
• Energy drinks to help us win priceless!
• We would be delighted if any of the above
  could be sponsored.
