• One of the people we will me in todays video is
  Jesus Manuel Aldaba Soto.
• He lives in Ciudad Juarez.
• Questions
• Do you know any Mexican entertainers or sports
  figures?
• Do you know about Mexico from Television or the
  news?
• Would you want to visit Mexico as a tourist? Any
  particular place?

Mexico Close-Up Jesus Manuel Aldaba Soto

• Questions
• Did Jesus Manuel say something that surprised
  you?
• In the movie they talk about the Mexicans that
  try to illegally move to America. Why do you
  think they try to do this?
• Both parents work and are absent from the house
  when the children return from school. What do you
  think of this situation?
• The Aldaba family- as well as thousands of other
  families are newcomers to Ciudad Juarez. How do
  you think it feels to leave friends and school
  and move to another town and school.
• Many factories in the US have closed down and
  moved to Mexico and other countries. Why did the
  owners do that?
• The Albada family earns 7 a day (each parent
  earns 3.50 a day) working in the assembly
  factories. For them it is a wonderful wage, on
  that they never earned before. What do they gain
  and lose in moving to ciudad Juarez?
• What do you think about the scholarship program
  of the church? What are Jesus Manuels chances of
  going to the university.

• Purpose It shortens sea travel between Atlantic
  Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
• Problems The French could not complete the
  canal, the U.S. overcame engineering challenges
  and disease to build it.
• The Panama Canal is a key water route today and
  is important to Panamas economy.
