THE ORGANIZATION
Mobile Plant Maintenance Team comprises of
thirteen different shops, an admin section and
reception quality control. MPM team is under
the Industrial Services Group and belongs to the
Technical Services Directorate.

FUNCTIONS
To provide the entire KOC organization with an
in-house technical and professional capability in
maintaining and repairing all heavy equipment
owned by the company.

FUNCTIONS
To ensure the maximum availability and effective
performance at any time of all heavy and fire
fighting equipment required in supporting the
companys drilling operations, oil production and
fire operations.

FUNCTIONS
Mobile Plant Workshop is capable of complete
Re-Build of all Heavy Equipment in accordance
with Manufacturers original specification. This
action is taken to prolong the equipment life and
reduced maintenance cost.

SERVICES PROVIDED
Provides major/minor repair and maintenance, to
all company owned heavy equipment like Cranes,
Kenworth, Western Star Trucks, Generators, Fuel
Water Tankers, Dozers, Loaders and all Fire
Fighting equipment.

Bumper to bumper inspection of all Contractor
provided heavy equipment to be assigned to KOC
project as per the end users request.

Facilities includes Shops for maintaining Crane
Load Test and a sophisticated Engine Dynamometer
for testing and calibrating engines
ENGINE DYNAMOMETER
This new facility in Mobile Plant Workshop
enables our Engineers to ensure that all Heavy
Duty Engines are working at maximum capacity,
without any efficiency loss. We can test up to
3,000 H.P engines in this Dynamometer. It may
please be noted that the rated capacity of your
Ford Grand Marquis is only 215 H.P.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION
A total number of 1,102 equipment are on Mobile
Plant Maintenance Teams active maintenance list.
In addition to the above, we are also responsible
for carrying out repairs and maintenance on
almost 200 equipment from Army (Security
Decisions Follow-up Committee).

Workshop requirement for requesting repair
maintenance on equipment

• The end user should prepare a work request
  through MMMS against the equipment or component
  or name.
• Route the work request to MPD Reception alert
  group which is located at TP facility.
• Work Request will be cancelled after 3 days if
  the end user does not bring the equipment or
  component in the workshops.
• Equipment sent to MP workshop will not be
  entertained without work request from the end
  user.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT INFORMATION

• Majority of spare parts required by the us are
  obtained through Spare Parts Supply Agreements
  controlled by the Team. This ensures reduced
  inventory of spare parts in K.O.C Stores, active
  involvement by equipment manufacturers and their
  Agents.
