Virtual Army Experience (VAE)
Virtual Army Experience (VAE) is an innovative
new event exhibit, leveraging the popularity of
the U.S. Army video game, Americas Army. The
VAE brings interactive gaming to a whole new
level. Traveling to national and regional
events, the VAE will allow participants the
opportunity to test-drive the Army in exciting
simulated combat situations.

• 4 Convoy Skill Engagement Trainer (CSET) with
  M249 mounted model HMMWV and 3-screen interactive
  gaming system
• 2 Convoy Skill Engagement Trainer (CSET) with
  model HMMWV featuring CROWS stations and 3-screen
  interactive gaming system
• 2 Over-watch Positions featuring TOW ITAS Missile
  Systems and 3-screen interactive gaming system
• PackBot EOD Robot

• Participants register using a comprehensive
  electronic information system and data tracker.
• PC laptop gaming stations allow participants an
  opportunity to play the popular Americas Army
  game
• Informational videos provide a glimpse into the
  life of real Soldiers who play a supporting role
  in the mission.

• Briefing Area
• Modeled after an authentic Joint Operations
  Center, participants enter this area to be
  briefed on weapons, equipment, roles and the
  mission by SME Representatives and pre-recorded
  Sit-Rep video.

• Virtual Combat Area
• Participants enter a completely immersive
  interactive environment on a convoy running an
  extraction scenario.
• They are assigned positions and utilize equipment
  such as the CROWS, M249 SAW, TOW-ITAS and HMMWVs
  to accomplish their mission.

• Participant performances are evaluated based on
  their scores during the simulation.
• Allows recruiters an open forum to begin
  conversations.

• The virtual combat experience will bring the
  participant into a 15- to 20-minute total
  immersive experience.
