Toucans range in size from 18 to 63 cm (from 7 to
25 in). The body is short and thick the tail is
rounded, varying in length in the different
species from half the length to almost the whole
length of the body. The neck is short and thick.
3HABITAT
You can find lots of toucans in the Argentina.
4 They have normous but lightweight beaks. They
inhabit tropical America. The family includes six
genre and about 40 species.

TOCO TOUCAN
Toco Toucan The massive, bright yellow beak of
this South American bird helps scare away
predators such as hawks. The toco toucan,
Ramphastos toco, is extremely playful, fencing
with its beak or beating it against tree trunks.
It wanders through woodlands from Guiana to
Argentina in flocks of a dozen or fewer, eating
fruits and insects. It nests in tree holes.
7FOOD
- They feed chiefly on fruit, and can manipulate
small berries at the tip of the bill with great
ability. They also eat small birds and lizards.
