    learning environment

Overall Weaknesses

the DR in order to have more experience
  • No formal sessions on how to follow labour
    throughout its course
  • Gyn Sx
  • Mostly urogynecology, very focused surgical
    subspecialty
  • Clinics
  • Variable experience
  • Overflow clinic sometimes cancelled
  • Colposcopy clinic students were not allowed to
    attend

7
St. Josephs
  • Call
  • DR call intense but great learning experience,
while GYN call usually very quiet
  • ER consults
  • Residents should be first call for more
    sensitive situations
  • Evaluation process
  • Great feedback, give students a chance to improve
    performance
  • Multiple evaluations for clinic good

8
Westminister
  • DR
  • Not much hands-on experience, resident dependent
  • GYN surgery
  • Either 2 weeks of gyn onc or 2 weeks of basic gyn
  • Oncology
  • great exposure to the field, consultants made
effort to include students in teaching and
overall view of the aspects of cancer treatment

9
Westminister
  • Clinics
  • Good opportunity to practice pap smears and
    independence
  • Teaching
  • Teaching with Dr. Robins great small groups
    content relevant and interesting
  • Overall
  • Consultants and residents who are eager to teach,
some residents appear tired and were not as eager
    to teach as others
  • First day introduction was delayed with the wrong
    time written in
