Mathematics Curriculum
FLEX Math Lab
Important Note MATH 62, 70, 72, and 97 are
offered in FLEX math lab and lecture formats.
The lab classes are designed for students who
wish to review arithmetic and algebra concepts in
a self-study environment. All instruction is
through the use of interactive computer
software. Students must be self-motivated and
have previous success in learning math via
independent study. See the Mathematics- Lab
section of the Class Schedule for availability
and more information. Students who have not had
previous success in learning math via independent
study are advised to take the lecture versions
of these courses. Math Resource Modules The
Math Center offers a series of 2 credit modules
designed to supplement MATH 62, 70, 72, and 97.
The courses are listed as R in the course
schedule (i.e., Math Module for Math 62 is Math
62R). Students can choose one or more of the
following activities 1) using math videos 2)
using math computer courseware 3) using
supplemental printed resource material or 4)
participating in MLC tutoring. You are
encouraged to register for a Math Module if 1)
you need extra help while taking one of these
courses. 2) you are not taking a course yet,
but you want to build specific skills before
you enter a math course. Note The module
courses DO NOT Meet the prerequisite for the next
course in sequence. (Math 72R does not count as
Math 72).

covers the material in 3 quarters rather than 2.
The sequence is numbered 70x, 72 97.
