    Institute of WNY, liquidated all assets to the
    ECC Foundation to strengthen the workforce in WNY
  • Created a 15 week, 12 credit program linked to
    the Machining/Manufacturing Alliance of 50 WNY
    companies

    IGT University

  • Partnered with Ford to build a state-of-the-art
    training annex to provide a regional training
    facility for Ford and Lincoln Mercury automotive
    technicians
  • Ford committed to investing over 1 million
    dollars over the next 5 years
  • ECC has been a partner for the Ford ASSET program
    since 1986

  • 300,000 expansion of training center to provide
    a regional training facility for General Motors
    automobile dealership technicians
  • General Motors has committed to investing over 1
    million dollars over the next 4 years
  • Attracts GM technicians from all over New York

National Grid
  • Development of Overhead Electrical Line Worker
    training certificate program
  • Prepares students for entry into an
    apprenticeship servicing overhead electric
    distribution power lines
  • A limited number of paid internships from
    sponsoring utilities will be available to those
    who complete the program

  • In Fall 2006, ECC enrolled a cohort class of 17
    students in the first semester of the program.
    The enrollment and employment of students in
    this program continues to grow every semester.

  • Implemented the Buffalo Niagara Jobs Initiative
    (BNJI) for students to receive 18 credits to
    remodel homes for re-sale
  • Integrates the Buffalo Public Schools, Habitat
    for Humanity and Erie Community College

  • Next phase will have the ECC Foundation purchase
    a home, sponsor construction development using
    ECC students and then infuse the re-sale dollars
    back into student stipends and scholarships
  • Program partners include the Building Trades
    apprenticeship programs, Ciminelli Construction
    and the Associated Builders Contractors
    Association

    in the Building Management Maintenance program

  • Innovative partnership designed to match the
    critical workforce needs of the Health System
  • Partners committed to a total of 420,000 over 4
    years to support various positions ranging from
    an Associate VP for Health Sciences to Full time
    faculty positions within the Nursing Department

  • Middle College High Schools are secondary high
    schools located on college campuses.
  • Five year program culminating in a New York State
    Regents Diploma and Erie Community College
    Associate Degree.
  • Rigorous academic curriculum offered in a
    supportive and nurturing environment.
