What is iCare?
  • An Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
    specifically designed for the education of
    healthcare professional students.

Why was iCare made?
  • The iCare team researched both open access (free
    shareware) EHRs as well as commercially
    available EHRs for the educational setting
  • Open access EHRs didnt offer the features we
    were seeking and commercially available EHRs
    were either suboptimal or prohibitively expensive

  • iCare allows the educator the ability to
  • Ability to enter and retrieve data pertinent to
    the healthcare of simulated adult
    medical/surgical patients
  • A documentation format and sequence that supports
    and reinforces practice of a thorough physical
    assessment

    EHRs in a controlled setting, not on live
