Finns often compliment the word sisu - tenacity ,
guts, overcoming the impossible with the idea of
"breaking through grey stone", suggesting that to
excel one must first find a challenge worthy of
one's capabilities. It takes no sisu to perform
below what one is capable of. The spirit of
sisu has successfully fuelled our work for a few
decades now. At Wärtsilä NSD, people not only
strive for improving the way of doing things, but
they often find completely new and better ways.
With sisu anyone can break through stone.
