Tekes funding attracts companies to Finland
GE Healthcare Corporation

• GE-Healthcare has received approximately 3
  million of Tekes funding through the FinnWell
  programme.
• GE has invested approximately 5 million of its
  own funding in FinnWell projects.
• The total investment of 8 million has been used
  for developing several products for global
  markets, for example
• A system measuring the depth of anaesthesia,
  which has already been used for the monitoring of
  about 2 million patients during an operation
  around the world.
• A device for measuring haemoglobin from the skin
  surface of a finger using an optical method
  without
• taking a blood sample. The method is useful in
• acute care, because it allows continuous
• monitoring during care.
