CoPS fellowship application process
  • Task Force Recommendations
  • In order to simplify the process for the
    applicants, we would recommend that all Pediatric
    Subspecialties utilize ERAS
  • In order to allow flexibility for subspecialties
    and enhance fairness to the applicants, we
    recommend utilizing a match, but suggest two
    match dates from which subspecialties could
    choose. These dates would be in the late spring
    and late fall.

    options before making decisions

NRMP Match Commitment
  • The listing of an applicant by a program on its
    certified rank order list or of a program by an
    applicant on the applicants certified rank order
    list establishes a binding commitment to offer or
    to accept an appointment if a match results.

    will be a material breach of this Agreement an
    may result in penalties to the breaching program
    or applicant

NRMP Participation Criteria
  • Programs must meet one of the following criteria
  • Accredited by the ACGME
  • Affiliated with an ACGME-accredited program in
    the core discipline
  • Lead to specialty certification or oversight by
    an ABMS recognized certifying board

NRMP Fellowship Sponsor Agreement
  • At least 75 of programs with available positions
    will be registered in the match
  • These programs will actively participate by
    submitting rank order lists
  • At least 75 of the available positions within
    the subspecialty will be in the match
