2Official Transcripts
- Order your official transcripts through Birks
Student Services (in person, by mail or fax).
Youll need the names and addresses of the
funding agencies when you request your
transcripts. - Request to pick up your transcripts and include
them in your application. Do not send your
transcript directly to the granting agency.
3Reference Letters
- Ask two different professors that have agreed to
write you good references. - You can also give them an unofficial copy of your
transcript and your CV for them to refer to. - The reports (references) must be returned to you
in a sealed envelope, signed across the flap by
your referees (provide your referees with
envelopes, write your name and the name of the
grant on each envelope).

- Theory and method studies of a theoretical or
methodological nature, including statistical and
psychometric techniques, when related to the
content areas listed above, will be considered by
SSHRC. - Applied psychology organizational and industrial
psychology, and environmental psychology. - Other studies of an applied nature relating to
the content areas listed above. It should be
noted, however, that such projects should be
generalizable and contribute to knowledge in an
area of psychology (usually by having a
theoretical basis or framework). - Other federal and provincial government
departments provide funds for studies which focus
on solutions to particular problems.

extracurricular activities, letters of appraisal,
the departmental appraisal, and the quality of
presentation of the application.

the health sciences in a discipline (i.e.
sociology, psychology, anthropology, geography,
biology, etc.) that will contribute, by the
nature of the research, to the health science
field.

(be sure to print a copy for yourself) - Bring list of required documents to Graduate
Studies - Avis de Depot (notification of submission)
filled in once your electronic submission is sent
(hardcopy mail) - Photocopy of valid Health-Insurance card (not
expiring before Nov. 2004) OR an official
document demonstrating that you are a Qc resident - Official or Certified Copy of all university
transcripts - If you were exempted from a course because of a
course equivalent taken in a previous program,
you must include those transcripts in your
application package. - If your transcript does not come from a North
American university, you must include a letter
explaining the grading system

submitted or in press - Permanent residents need a copy of IMM 1000 form
