NM-WG V2 Schemas Discussion (1 of 2)
  • Issues in arbitrary order
  • Normalisation (Jeff)
  • If were returning a lot of data all with same
time stamp, we don't want the include the same
timestamp repeated for each piece of data.
  • We want to be able to pull out a certain piece of
data (timestamp is just an example, theres
probably more) and refer to it just once.
  • Versioning.can it be done using the namespace,
    e.g. http//ggf.org/ns/0.0.1/nmwg/? (Martin)
  • GridFTP (Mark) - can V2 schemas be produced to
express GridFTP logs? src, dest, file size, time
    taken
  • Bag of generic parameters for message and store
    (Martin)

8
NM-WG V2 Schemas Discussion (2 of 2)
  • Units continuing the recent email thread
    (Loukik)
  • Response codes wrt exceptions etc. Can we return
codes (maybe textual responses) as datums in a
    'response' namespace? (Jason)
  • Response/Result namespace (Martin)
  • Characteristic as an optional element in the
    metadata (Martin)
  • IPv6 and multicast (Jason and Jerome Durand of
    Renater)
  • Validation authority for schemas NM-WG as
    gatekeeper, approving new schemas? (Mark)
  • Any others?
