  diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in
  cancer
• Assist stakeholders with developing,
  prioritizing, and refining the research agenda

  research questions to ensure clinical
  meaningfulness and practical utility

Linking North Carolina Central Cancer Registry to
Medicare Claims

• Partnering with the North Carolina Central Cancer
  Registry (NCCCR) and the Carolinas Center for
  Medical Excellence to
• Develop, explicitly document, and operationalize
  a replicable set of procedures for linking cancer
  cases in the NCCCR to Medicare claims
• Assess the strengths and limitations of this
  linkage, and determine the degree to which it is
  valid and adds value to the NCCCR
• Demonstrate the linkages value by examining
  treatment patterns and outcomes for advanced
  colorectal cancer as they vary across North
  Carolina.
