  • As an interpreter, my heart is with the patient.
    I interpret what the patient feels and where he
    is coming from. But my mind is with the provider
    where their knowledge, wisdom and scientific
    value are and that is how I interpret.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act
  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
    Office for Civil Rights (OCR) requires all
    recipients of federal funds to comply with the
    Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

    or national origin, such as failing to provide
    effective methods of communication between
    English-Speaking staff and patients with limited
    English proficiency
