Trials Conclusion
  • Findings from other major trials are totally
    consistent with ALLHATs conclusion that
    diuretic-based antihypertensive treatment is
    unsurpassed in preventing major cardiovascular
    morbidity and mortality, and offer some support
    for its superiority in reducing risk of heart
    failure.
