Service Overview

• Established in the North 1982
• Non-statutory Service
• Managed by Executive Committee
• Funded by DCC, PCT - commissioned by DAAT
• Strong evidence base of successful outcomes
  supported by input from CAT
• Workers with psychology/counselling backgrounds
  (all DANOS trained)
• Key partners, CAT, Mental Health, Probation,
  social services.

• Reduce harm associated with drinking over
  recommended limits
• Reduce impact on children and families
• Reduce alcohol related crime and disorder
• Improve knowledge (tier 1) to identify problems
  earlier
• Promote safe drinking message

What can referring agents expect?

• All clients who contact the HUB directly will
  receive A I or BI from a trained worker
• Assessment appointments offered to self referrals
  within 10 working days
• Same day onward referral to Tier 3 CAT (monthly
  referral tracking)
• All referrals made by referring agents actioned
  within the same day
• Agreed information sharing protocols
