Progress Reporting
  • All grades will now be connected to state
    standards in content areas
  • Two categories for communicating student learning
  • Formative Assessments activities that are
    designed to promote increases in achievement to
    help students meet the standards support ongoing
    student growth and improvement
  • Summative Assessments-are used to document
    achievement or mastery of standards measured at
    a point in time for purposes of reporting and
    accountability

Reporting
  • Formative Activities will be recorded in
    GradeSpeed (Parent Connection), reported on
    progress reports, but not included in student
    average for grading purposes.
  • Summative Assessments will be recorded in
    GradeSpeed by standard and category and will be
    included in a students final average for the
    grading period
